Alien Invasion: An Artist's Surreal Take on the Devastation of Damascus

Damascus–based photographer, videographer and graphic designer Ayham Jabr, who is only too familiar with the condition of the oldest world capital and his home city, has decided to use the landscape for his most challenging series of works to date.

Ayham Jabr, who specializes in digital and analog collage, has twisted the events of the past five years, and presented a surreal take on the surrounding devastation, imagining that the destruction of the city was not man made, but instead inflicted by creatures from outer space.

In his fantasy, a fleet of Martian spacecraft besieges and surrounds Damascus, the oldest capital in the world, claiming "We Come in Peace."
